Headteacher’s Message

Abbotsford School is a truly wonderful place and I consider myself to be very fortunate to be leading it in this its centenary year. Those who visit us for the first time often remark that it feels like those village schools we all remember from our childhoods. In fact, Abbotsford still is a village school; small, caring and nurturing, brimming with a friendly family feel. Many period features are still dotted throughout the old Victorian building; gas lamps can still be seen on some of our upstairs walls, service-bells and maids-indicator boxes are all still in-situ… All sitting alongside 21st century fixtures such as interactive whiteboards, a state-of-the-art IT suite and our well renowned Internet Cafes.

But at the centre of Abbotsford School are our children. For one hundred years Abbotsford School has lived and breathed for all the eager young minds that have graced its grounds. Every child continues to receive the very best education, tailored specifically for their own individual needs. All our staff are incredibly proud of our well-deserved reputation for ensuring every pupil achieves  beyond expectation. Abbotsford School is truly exceptional in delivering both academic excellence and ensuring that all our children develop into confident, well-rounded individuals.

But don’t take my word for it; come and see Abbotsford School for yourself. I am always glad to share our success with new faces.
