Abbotsford School operates a non-selective entry policy; there are no exams to sit or academic tests to take.

We do, however,  encourage all prospective pupils to visit us for a taster day to allow us to get to know each child and their respective academic and pastoral needs.

Visit the School

To really understand what Abbotsford School has to offer prospective parents should come and visit us first hand. Mr Cook, our Headteaacher, will take the time to show you around and to discuss your child’s individual needs. We have a ‘door is always open’ policy at Abbotsford; there is no need to wait for an Open Day to come and visit us informally. Pick a time that suits you and call the office to arrange your visit.

Arrange a Taster Day

It is very important that all prospective pupils spend at least half a day with us; we can get to know them and their needs, and your child can get to know us! Following any taster day you will be invited to meet with either the Headteacher, Deputy, or Director of Studies for an informal discussion of the day’s events.

Registration / Offer

Following the taster day, those parents wishing to take up a place at Abbotsford School will be required to complete a registration form and submit it to the office. A non-refundable registration fee of £150 will be payable at this point.
